Question: I have just bought property in the Foxtail Pines community. Where can I get a copy of the covenants and by-laws? I did not receive one from my real estate agent.

Answer: You should have received copies of the covenants and by-laws from the closing agent. However, you can obtain scanned copies (Adobe .pdf format) under governing documents on this site, or by clicking on the hyper-links in this answer.

Question: I am planning on repainting my cabin. Do I need permission even if I am planning on using the same color?

Answer: Yes. The Architectural control committee needs to ensure all projects, to include construction, additions, and renovation projects conform to the covenants. The procedure is very easy. Just download the ACC application (under the Forms page on this website.) You can email the completed application to our Website Manager or contact the ARC chair, Janine Snyder by phone at 970-485-5278. If you prefer, you can send your application by US Mail to:

Question: Is there fishing in the Foxtail Pines pond?

Answer: Yes, the FPOA stocks the pond at the community picnic area. Fishing is for FPOA members and their guests only. A state fishing license is required only if your catch is removed from the Foxtail Pines development. Please observe our limit of two fish per day. When in doubt, all Colorado State Game, Fish and Parks regulations must be complied with.

Question: Are off-highway vehicles, including ATVs and dirt bikes, permitted?

Answer: Yes, but only on your private property. Park County Regulations do not allow operation of off-highway vehicles on county maintained roads. Violators may be ticketed. Off-road vehicles are also not allowed in Foxtail Pines open spaces. Finally, please be considerate of your neighbors when operating such vehicles.
